Boy am I ever showing my age with that title, huh?? LOL! Isn't she cute? First, before I forget, I've got to give a big shout out to my design team sista Suzy! Suzy has been making these adorable cards with her Nesties. Now I read somewhere a while back that making cards with your nesties was easy. But I had never tried it. But with lots of fabulous inspiration from Suzy, I came home tonight after work and did one. OMG, I love it! Sooooo quick and easy, and I'm a fiend for shaped cards anyway! I will be making lots more of these. I'll tell you that right now! LOL! But for now, this is what I came up with for Three Clovers Thursday Challenge by Kerry over at Three Clover Designs. Her challenge for you this week is to make a shaped card. Any kind of shape as long as it's not a square or rectangle. LOVE that kind of challenge.
Shaped card with flower power Tilda - Three Clovers Designs challenge
This was made for a friend and cohort that I work with. It's for her daughter that is graduating from High School this year. I've been working on this for a while, so I'm very relieved to finally have it finished. WHEW!!! I cut the word book with my Pazzle and word book cd which I purchased from Hallmark Scrapbook. All the DP is the FABULOUS Basic Grey Lime Rickey line. I fell in love with it and felt it would be perfect for this. I hope they agree. :) It's all put together with my Bind-it-all.

This morning Youngestround.com went from being a fully functioning yacht (without mentioning a few major issues! i.e. the engine not running, the rig threatening to fall down and at one point sea water flooding in!) to a stripped down hull miles from the water and locked up in a shed. It may sound like we’re going backward at a million miles but today was actually a huge milestone, the beginning of the refit.
Thanks to Bayside Crane Hire for lifting the rig out and to Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron for berthing and the use of your travel-lift!
I had to keep reminding myself how positive it all was because it was very hard to watch Youngestround.com being stripped of its rig, bounced along the highway on the back of a truck and welded into the cradle that will be its home for the next 8 weeks.
We arrived at the shed just after lunchtime and with so many big flash machines and big tough men hanging around I expected that I’d have little to do but stand back and watch. I was wrong. I was given the job of hauling Youngestround.com and the cradle into position, all 5.6tones, training I’m told!
An exhausted Jessica signing out.
I would like to write something really smart and funny, but I am too tired. I am really! I spent the whole day at University, and imagine, at every single course I felt like the class' biggest blundering and born fool. This just can't be! I mean, I am not a stupid girl! But on the other hand, why are these docents treating me like a fool? Especially one of them.. It kind of annoys and angers me.
Back to music and my (still not finished) book. Thanks to Angie for the great music!
Finally alone on youngestround.com, for me the weather was all sunny!
The 13 of May, the Watson family on the bow of youngestround.com, media on the dock, supporters and friends in the background and Jessica standing out in pink!
Back in January I set a goal to create six Christmas cards each month so that by the December I would have plenty of Christmas cards all done and hopefully much less stress the first week of December. I stumbled a bit in April and did not make all six of my cards. But today I hopped back in the game and made my six May Christmas cards (with 6 days to go)!!! If I can make four more card over the next few days, I will be back on schedule.
Sadly right in the middle of my card project my Wizard started acting up. I am hopeful that Mr. Doug can get it working for me again later tonight as I LOVE my nesties!

Congrats Laurinda! Even though you got tired of the hopping, continuing on ended up being worth it! Send me your email and snail mail address so I can get you your prizes.
Thanks so much to everyone who stopped in to say hi and to see Youngestround.com. In between all that lovely rain it was wonderful to receive so many ‘good lucks’ and ‘best wishes’. One of the most amazing experiences we had was to have someone come up to express their doubts about voyage and to have them walk away 10 minutes later over come with emotion and with every confidence in the project.
Also thanks to Rikki, Mel, Brian, Tom, Hannah, Pamela, Jen, Suzanne, Bruce and particularly Mum and Dad for their totally gallant efforts handing out postcards and giving Bruce and I the chance to spend time talking to suppliers and existing sponsors.
No time to settle the overflowing head with a hundred and one refit details to finalise and the rig coming out on Wednesday.
I spent part of the day creating embellishments for a diaper cake and a matching baby shower card. The women I work with are hosting a baby shower for a co-worker's daughter. A few of us have gone in together to create a multi-layer diaper cake complete with lots of accessories.
I thought the cake could use a few New Arrival cuts to finish it off. I made "It's a Boy" for the top of the cake, along with four other shapes for added embellies. I mounted the cuts on white florist wire so that we just have to insert then into the diapers.
I also made a matching card... and was able to use my new LONG RECTANGLES nesties. The card was also made using the New Arrival cartridge. So ... now that I am ahead for the week, I can relax for the rest of the weekend!!!
Happy Friday everyone! And a long weekend on top of it! Does it get much better?? I put this card together with some awesome stamps I got from Diana at Magnolia-licious! Isn't it fun? This cute house stamp will soon be available, so keep an eye out for it! It's very country, and I wanted to carry that theme through the card. So I picked this cute little Tilda with bow sitting sideways, cause I felt she fit right in with the country theme. And then I just HAD to put her on the log!
