Even though his native is a village near district Yamuna Nagar in Haryana, this kid was born and brought up in the glamour-oozing city of Mumbai. He is one of those very few 'star-sons' who just did not want to take things on a golden plate, instead, choose to earn their star-status. We are indeed talking about today's Birthday boy Sanjay Dutt, the humble son of the most illustrious parents: the late Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt.Sanjay's debut film Rocky still remains as one of the most memorable films in Bollywood. What followed after that, were an array of films that not just consolidated his position in Bollywood, but also catapulted him into the top league in no time. Even though bad times befell on Sanjay's life in the form of drug abuse and possession of illegal arms, Sanjay stood terra firma against all this and came out clean to accept his mistake, an action that only a true son of the soil can do! It was this acceptance of guilt that transformed the man called Sanjay Dutt into a household name called 'Sanju baba', which later on took the form of the most affable 'Munnabhai', an unforgettable identity that the Indian cinema has ever produced!
In the recent times, besides the smash hit Munnabhai series, Sanju also gave some of his unforgettable performances in films like Daag The Fire, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, and Vaastav, which even earned him the Best Actor in a Leading Role award at the prestigious Filmfare Awards.
