Preity Zinta’s item number in Salman Khan’s Main Aur Mrs Khanna is reminiscent of Aishwarya Rai’s Kajraa Re.
The song titled Happening has Preity Zinta looking no less scorching than Aishwarya in Kajraa Re, where Ash’s legendary thumkas even had Pa Amitabh Bachchan on his knees. But director Prem Soni clarifies, ‘Unlike Aishwarya in Kajraa re, Preity has an important role in the film, her character is vital to the climax of the story.’
A source close to the film said, “Preity was a bit hesitant but she did the song just for Salman and Sohail, she looks amazing in the film and she’s worked out very hard to tone her body. She even went on a special diet for the film. Apart from Preity, Govinda too has a special cameo in the film.
Her look in the song is so similar to Ash that everyone has been wondering why she herself chose to be a part of an item number that could harm her friendship with Ash, but setting such trivial details aside, Preity went ahead to do the song because she did not think it would hurt Ash. With no major film on her list, she was sporting enough to take up Salman's offer.
