Woodsy, green.....maybe snowy. California...the land of so many wonders, and yet it still is quite cramped for my taste. But let's focus on the wonders:)  I have 3 days off and I am pondering so many things....but first here's an update in the garden.  I am going to get that camera today I think.....I cannot wait....I have been spoiled with amazing cameras this year and on that last post, I wasn't happy with the photo shoots....so I think today I am breaking down and getting myself an amazing camera:) Any suggestions?

The cameras back in the 90's...ahhhh....film.

Mosquitos are killing me outside. Mesquite pods will be cleaned.  New plants will be placed in the ground.  Pics to come tomorrow including a new plant I had never heard about!! But I'm going to try it:) I cut large canary palm fronds up into pieces since the garbage people decided to empty them around the dumpsters....jerks. If you don't know about canary palms...they are jagged and killer....I never leave that plant without a battle wound:( One thing about the garden....you go outside to do one thing and you end up doing another but still having to do that one thing later on because you forgot about it. Anyhow, it's coffee time and a write about a journey I took over 10 years ago......

Yosemite National Park is one of this nation's true gems. The journey itself outside and into the park is a pretty drive, and you say to yourself, "Okay...so great park but where's the awe??"  Hold your horses as you drive thru a tunnel and out to discover a real life painting of an awe inspiring waterfall.  It is an incredible place....it looked almost fake as you see this waterfall cascading down next to the Capitan.
This looks fake, but I assure...I took this pic. Incredible place!!

Is it worth the trip?  Definitely...a place to see before you die.  I am mentioning this place as we prepare for our journey to Iguazu Falls in Brazil and Argentina this summer. Here is some info if you go and a link to their official website....

"Not just a great Valley...
but a shrine to human foresight, strength of granite, power of glaciers, the persistence of life, and the tranquility of the High Sierra.
Yosemite National Park, one of the first wilderness parks in the United States, is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more."
