It took us by surprise, but it was actually really difficult trying to find rental properties in Erie!
We did the usual search.... Craigslist, realestate.com but every time we called or emailed about a property we'd get no response.
After spending a day driving around the local area, we decided that the Bayfront would suit us best. We love getting outdoors so thought come Summertime there will be loads of activities for us within walking distance to our home.
Thankfully, the one and ONLY real estate agent to call us back (Pam), was able to take us through a 1 bedroom apartment. Initially, we weren't so keen on the thought of an apartment.. especially a 1 bedroom! But once we saw the place we instantly saw ourselves living in it. Plus it came with a fridge, washer, dryer and a microwave which we were pretty excited about.
After taking the weekend to think it over, we applied first thing Monday morning- and before we knew it, it was Friday afternoon and it's move-in time! I was so excited to unpack my pink couch that we got off ebay a few weeks earlier, and FINALLY unpack my clothes. It has been really difficult and tiring living out of your suitcase for a few months. But I guess it makes having a wardrobe all that more special.
Now we've unpacked... the real hard-work begins- setting up gas, electricity, internet and cable!
